Lehigh County

Lehigh County was formed in 1812 after Northampton divided into two counties. It is named after the Lehigh River. Its total area is 384 square miles settled between two Appalachian Mountain ridges: Blue Mountain and South Mountain. There are a few main attractions in this region including Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, The Great Allentown Fair and the Lehigh Valley Zoo.
