Delaware County was founded in 1789. It presently consists of over 184 square miles divided into forty-nine municipalities and is the oldest settled section of Pennsylvania. This county is home to 11 Institutions for Higher Learning including Villanova University and Penn State Brandywine Campus. It is also home to Linvilla Orchards, Tyler Arboretum and Ridley Creek State Park.
